The Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Hon. Martin Kwaku Adjei-Mensah Korsah, has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting widows, orphans, and the vulnerable in society.
In an interview with the media, the Techiman Sompahene described his benevolent gesture towards the aged and vulnerable in society as his life’s mission. He disclosed that his passion for helping the vulnerable stems from a deeply personal experience.
“My mother, before her passing, was a widow. So I understand how difficult life can sometimes be for widows. That is why I have made it my life’s mission to support widows and orphans every year in honor and celebration of mothers.” He said.
According to him, his philanthropic efforts are not confined to Techiman alone but also extend to Accra, where he supports between 5,000 and 7,000 widows through donations and outreach programs annually.
Hon. Martin Kwaku Adjei-Mensah Korsah further explained that his commitment is rooted in his Christian faith, which calls for compassion and care for the aged and the vulnerable.
“This support is not limited to Techiman; I also extend it to Accra. Each year, I feel truly blessed and motivated when I’m able to donate to between 5,000 and 7,000 widows. Their words of gratitude and heartfelt prayers continue to inspire me to do even more, and I am committed to continuing this work annually.
“As a Christian, I believe it is our duty to care for the aged and vulnerable in our society. By doing so, we send a strong message that they are loved, valued, and not forgotten.”
