This state of retrogression under President Mahama must be reserved – Duncan-Williams declares

The Presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of Action Chapel International (ACI), Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams has expressed hope that Ghana is going to be a more attractive country like it has not happened before.

According to him, Ghana was ahead of countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea some years back but unfortunately, the gold that beautifies the country has turned dark.

Speaking at the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving held on 1st July in Accra, Archbishop Duncan-Williams stated that the state of retrogression under the Leadership of President Mahama must be reversed to bring a new freedom for the youth in the country.

“As I reflected, I realized that in the 50s and 60s, Ghana was ahead of Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and even China. And I started meditating and suddenly I said why has the Gold become dim or dark? What happened to us? This state of retrogression under the Leadership of our President John Dramani Mahama must be reversed.” The man of God prayed.

He also expressed hope that the country will see a significant development where the youth will no longer seek for a greener pasture but will rather travel for vacations and holidays.

“I look forward in my lifetime to see a new Ghana, a Ghana where our sons and daughters will not line up in the embassies for visas to travel out of the shores of this country for greener pastures. But our sons and daughters will be gone, raised, school, educated and live and work and flourish and drive within the borders of Ghana. And will only travel outside for vacations and holidays but not to go and seek for greener pastures.” Archbishop Duncan-Williams stated.

The National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving brought both Muslims and Christians together to pray for God’s intervention in the development of the country.
