The Security agencies have arrested the self-acclaimed Leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s vigilante group in the Ashanti Region, Delta Force.
GBCNEWS reported that the man identified as Francis Asante also known as Nana Akwasi or Swanzy was arrested in Barekese in the Atwima Nwabiagya North district of the Ashanti Region on Friday, 18th July, 2025 in connection with his viral video threatened the NPP.
He claimed the party used them (Vigilante groups) to win the elections and abandoned them.
In the video the man indicated that their group were very excited about the violence that occurred in the Ablekuma North rerun and that one NPP executive will die during the Akwatia by-elections.
Reports say processes are being made for Francis Asante to face court.
