Video: Kintampo North MP, Municipal Assembly begin reshaping of MO roads to improve accessibility

The Kintampo North Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with the office of the Member of Parliament for Kintampo North, Hon. Joseph Kwame Kuma, has commenced the reshaping of selected roads in the MO area of the municipality.

This initiative forms part of broader efforts of the NDC led government to improve accessibility and address the long-standing concerns of residents, particularly those who depend on these roads for their daily activities, including farming and trade.

In an interview with the Municipal Chief Executive of Kintampo North, Hon. Isaac Donkor, he disclosed that the poor state of roads in the area has been a major source of frustration for commuters and farmers. According to him, many residents have expressed their dissatisfaction to the Assembly and had even considered staging a protest. However, they held back due to the trust and confidence they have in the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former President John Dramani Mahama.

“What you are seeing on these roads today is part of the measures put in place by our Honorable Member of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Kwame Kuma, and the Municipal Assembly to address the concerns of the people of Kintampo North, especially those who rely on this road for their daily activities.

“The poor condition of roads in this area has been a major concern to the Assembly. Commuters have been voicing their frustrations, and some were even prepared to stage a demonstration against the government were it not for the trust and confidence they have in the leadership of former President John Dramani Mahama.” He stated.

He further disclosed that due to the nature of the road sometimes the food stuff been carried from the farme to come and sell get rotted because the farmers finds it difficult to come to the market and sell and sometimes too, the drivers feels reluctant to go to the area due to the road.

“Most of the residents who use these roads are farmers who contribute significantly to the food security of Kintampo, the Bono East Region, and Ghana as a whole. This is why the office of our MP, in collaboration with the Assembly, has prioritized reshaping the roads to ensure easy access for residents and better connectivity within the municipality.” He disclosed

The reshaping project is expected to ease movement between communities, enhance local economic activities, and improve living conditions for residents across the municipality.

The Assembly and the MP’s office have assured the public of their continued commitment to supporting development projects that directly impact the lives of constituents
