Young man commits su!cide over gambling debts

 

A Nigerian man identified as Stephen Chidubem has ended his life over what he described as gambling addiction and debts.

According to a report, Stephen committed su!cide over gambling debts on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Abba Street, Abuja.

A su!cide notes discovered at the premises he hanged himself said he owns many people including his two friends Elvis and Paul.

He said he committed su!cide to avoid plunging him into debt which ended many people in trouble  and emotional distress.

“Sorry to everyone who cared, I can’t continue putting people in trouble because of my gambling addiction. Please forgive me Elvis, Paul, and all I’m owing. And you, Bishop Andy Ero, give the balance of N507,500 to Elvis or Paul.”  The note read.
