The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has advised Ghana’s iconic rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, known professionally as Sarkodie to stand firm with humility and consistency to protect his brand.
According to him, his talent is a gift from God and that he should not forget himself and remain humble and patient.
“It has been a long time since I met him and I believe henceforth he will continue to come and visit me. Whatever he is doing I am behind him with prayers, I told him earlier that humility is the most important so he should not forget and I know he is living according to the advice I gave him. What he is doing is a gift from God so he should not forget himself, he must be patient in everything he is doing.” Asantehene said.
Otumfuo gave this advice when Sarkodie and his team visited Manhyia Palace to seek for the blessings from the Monarch to hold his rapperholic concert in Kumasi.
Asantehene therefore urged Sarkodie’s team to to support him and avoid engaging in any activities that will tarnish the rap legends image.
“You are following him because of what he is doing so make sure you don’t do anything to tarnish his image. All of you should support him to do it well.” He said.
